The Ebbett Award is named in honor of Fred Ebbett, one of the founding fathers of the Massachusetts Baseball Coaches Association. For over 30 years, Fred served in a variety of capacities on the MBCA’s Executive Board, most notable as President and  Secretary-Treasurer.

Fred's legacy of service lives on through this award. It is given every year to men and women who serve the youth of Massachusetts by making significant contributions to amateur and youth baseball in their communities. 

 

Rob posthumously received the Ebbett Award at this year's Mass Baseball Coaches Association winter meeting.  Rob's family, friends, and many former players attended the awards ceremony, all pictured here.  Yet another great honor for one of the best baseball guys ever!
